am thinking of taking 2 kids aged 8 and 5 for a day break through omega holidays in dec. I would like some help and info because it is going to cost £1750 for the 4 of us and do not want to spend that money unless it is really worth it? I would appreciate hearing about any experiances people have had of this. the day consists of santas winter wonderland for outdoor activities. is this the same place as santa land that doesnt have good reports or is it different all together?? then i think lunch and meeting santa etc, then off for shopping to santa claus village. thanks in advance for any help advice from any body. this is really the only company i can find also that go from aberdeeen,(it is through our local paper).
thanks

years ago, i did the same thing as you, priced up to see santa.
my advice just book a week out in levi, it will be the same price, a trip to see santa is twenty euro,s each,he%26#39;s avialable all season.
you can sample the real lapland/finland experience.
sledging,boarding,huskies,reindeers etc.
have a look online - inghams,thomson,neilson.
hope this helps

thanks, but we are unable to take a whole week off at xmas, that is why we are going for day trip, and do not want to go after xmas as it will not be so exciting for kids.

have a look at the 3 or 4 day trips that inghams do - the one day trips are very expensive and knackering

That is a lot of money!!! For a few hundred extra you could do a 4 night stay!!! I am only paying just over 2000 for 4 of us to do a 4 night break with first choice.

i would def do a 3 night santa trip or 4 night one with inghams it will work out around the same price and is much better value than cramming in a day between 2 flights.

Hello Lee26,
I also live in Aberdeen and last year my husband and I took our children to Lapland for the first time. I have seen the Omega deal in the P%26amp;J and whilst it does look great - I do agree with the other respondees....if you are able to go for a little longer then you really would be making the right choice. IT IS AMAZING!!!!!!!
We did a 2 day one night (log cabin) trip with Caterbury travel which was absolutely marvellous. Whilst a little more expensive (I think it cost about £2,400 for 4 of us) it was a truly amazing experience and if you look at the difference from what you are planning to pay....
You may be able to get a free child place on certain deals (I think you have to book before Oct) and for the difference in the cost - you may wish to consider it if you don%26#39;t have the option to take up the economic option of a weeks stay (trust me - I don%26#39;t think you could ever out-stay your enjoyment as a family!!!!)

You will have to travel from a different airport (we flew from Newcastle - you can fly Eastern Airways from Aberdeen the night before and connect)and there may still be trips from Edinburgh.
Hope this helps - whatever you end up going for - YOU WILL LOVE IT! :o)
