Hi,
We are a family of 4: 2 adults, 2 kids (aged 6 yrs, 9 months).
We are planning a trip to finland, sweden, norway, denmark, hungary, czech...more concentration on first four and little on hungary, czech..
We have around 20 days or so..been to central europe a yr back, so i know my way little bit..
Guys do you think its doable ? if so, then where should i start and end, and how many days.
We would be going around mostly in and around the city attractions, rather than the far one%26#39;s.. a trip here and there for kids to amusement park etc..
We all are vegetarian. Is veg food a problem ? We are planning to go June end or early July.Is this a good time to travel ? What is the weather like in all these places and is it ok for kids ?
Apologies for long mail...
Looking forward to any idea, suggestion, support..
thanks

Sure, it%26#39;s doable. You%26#39;ll just get a glimpse of every country ;)
All mentioned countries have good tourism-related websites, e.g. the Finnish one is www.visitfinland.com. If I%26#39;m not mistaken the Hungarian site would be www.hungarytourism.hu. Google a little and you%26#39;ll find them. Perhaps it would be wise to take a look at them first and see what you%26#39;d be interested in.
Veggie food is no problem, especially in Scandinavia. But also in Hungary and Czech, especially the Hungarians have a lot of veggie dishes in their national cuisine. June-July are perfect for travelling. In Southern Scandinavia the daytime temperature would be at least around 22*C, sometimes over 25.
I%26#39;ve done along trip to through all Eastern Europe countries with children. Can%26#39;t say there were any significant problems. In Scandinavia it is perhaps easier, but Central/Eastern Europe is perfeclty alright.

Thanks guys for your time n suggestions...Apologies for the delayed reply.
The problem why iam packing all it in one go is, that we dont want to waste opportunity to see and do as much as we can, whenever we get a chance..
To be honest iam a travel freak and iam never happy going to one or two places, if things were my way i would never be back home !!!!
It looks a bit tight and tiresome..the only thing iam worried is my younger son 8 months...there will be times when he wont sleep, cry etc etc...
Still undecided.
Lets see, keep you posted.
regards

Hi,
We have trimmed down the trip to Scandinavia only and have excluded East Europe as suggested by you guys..We are family of 4 ,2 adults n 2 kids, 6 yrs n 9 months, planning end of june, early july...Is this a good time to travel and will it be too cold ?
Now, i need your assistance again please...
I have abt 20 days and i want to cover Norway(oslo, bergen, flam, one fjords cruise), Finland (helsinki or any of the day trips), Sweden (stockholm, malmo, if time permits then Goteburg),Demnark (copenhagen and any day trips) and 1 day trip to Talinn, Estonia..
We intend to spend 4 days in the above places and i day for estonia.Pls advise us,as to which places we should increase the no.of days and which places to reduce no.of days..
Also, pls let us know any of the attraction or places we might have missed and should be included.
Our main area of interest is the main cities n surroundings, not much into museums etc but waterside, mountains and some theme parks for kids...and day trips from the above cities, if it can be included.
I need your inputs as to where should i start and where should i end my journey. We will be flying from Dubai and back.
Is the above mentioned itinerary convenient considering to young kids ?
Sorry for the long mail...
Appreciate your opinions and suggestions...
Thanks

A lot depends on your flight itinerary, i.e. which airline you%26#39;re going to arrive in the area and leave as that will then give you automatically the starting and ending points for your journey.
Late June and July are the best times for a holiday here. It%26#39;s both the warmest (temps. usually between +20˚C and +25˚C) and sunniest time of the year.
Here%26#39;s one suggestion:
Day 1: Fly to Helsinki
Day 2: In Helsinki
Day 3: Excursion to where ever you like (Porvoo, Tampere etc.)
Day 4: Excursion to Tallinn
Day 5: Morning in Helsinki, in the late afternoon cruise to Stockholm
Day 6: in Stockholm
Day 7: excursion e.g in the archipelago of Stockholm
Day 8: Train to Malmö and onwards to Copenhagen (Malmö and Copenhagen are only a 40 min train ride apart)
Day 9: Copenhagen
Day 10: Copenhagen
Day 11: Cruise Copenhagen - Oslo (dep. late afternoon)
Day 12: Oslo
Day 13: Oslo
Day 14: Train Oslo - Bergen (maybe you want to have a look in the Flåm railwayline on the way: http://www.flaamsbana.no/eng/)
Day 15: Bergen
Day 16: Taking Hurtigruten ferry
Day 17: on Hurtigruten
Day 18: Disembarkation in Trondheim
Day 19: Trondheim
Day 20: Flight back home

For the sake of the 6 yr old, take a side trip from Copenhavn to Billund to visit Legoland.
