Hotels near to the Metro in Helsinki

Am planning to travel to Helsinki in February. Have noticed the accommodation quite expensive. Can anyone suggest where I might find a map with hotels located near to metro stations. From previous experience I have found that in big cities if you have to stay a little outside the centre of the city it is generally OK if you are located near an underground system. Prefer to use these rather than buses! Thanks all,

The Helsinki Metro will not really help you in this sense, as there%26#39;s practically only one line and there aren%26#39;t really any hotels along that line that would be that much cheaper that it would make a real difference.

Instead of the metro you could check hotels along the commuter train routes, but they might not be that much cheaper anyhow, but here is at least one:
