South Harbor Olympia Quay

We dock in South Harbor Olympia EO1. What tram or bus do we take to get to center of town? We also want to see rock church.

3T it will take you to downtown and the route passes also by the %26quot;Rock Church%26quot; (i.e Temppeliaukio Church).

Tram route map: hel2.fi/HKL/kartat/ratikka_20_30.3.2009.pdf

You can also travel through the whole route of that tram (at one point it will change into 3B). The whole route will take approx. 1 h. It will be like a sightseeing tour passing by many of the main sights of Helsinki, e.g. (starting from the Olympic Terminal) The Market Place, Ateneum Art Museum, Central Railway Station, Parliament, Rock Church, National Opera, Olympic Stadium, Finnair Stadium (football/Soccer), Helsinki Ice Hall, Linnanmäki Amusement Park, Kallio Area, Botanical Gardens, Hakaniemi Market Place, again Central Railway Station, Embassy quarters of Ullanlinna and Kaivopuisto and then you%26#39;re back in the Olympic Terminal.

Zam72,

Thanks for the info. This is exactly what I wanted to do and all for 6,80 euro. Sure beats paying 30euro on the Hop on/off. And certainly beats the outrageous charge of the ship%26#39;s excursion.

Were going to pay 6,80? Most people never reach the breakeven point with the tourist ticket. Single tram ticket is 1,80 from a teller machine.

See the prices and figure out how much you are travelling with the public transportation. Regarding prices, well, your tour will be subsidied by tax payers%26#39; money when using the tram :)

Hi! You can download a free guide for the 3T/3B tour, or even get an audioguide for a few dollars for the tour. See the TA article at tripadvisor.com/Travel-g189934-c114477/Helsi…

Single tram tickets are valid for a change to another tram within an hour. You may also purchase a %26quot;normal%26quot; single ticket for 2.00 EUR (from an automaton) or 2.50 EUR (from the driver) which will then entitle you to a change to any means of public transport (tram, bus, metro, commuter train, ferry to Suomenlinna) within the City of Helsinki. NOTICE! Drivers no longer sell single tram tickets that the above poster mentioned, they are available only in the automatons.

There is a ticket machine in the Olympic Terminal (Silja Line) in the South Harbor, and also in the Makasiini Terminal (Linda Line) which is located towards the Market Place from the Olympic Terminal.

There is a brochure about the tour on 3T and 3B: hel.fi/wps/…
