What kind of clothes should one pack before going there?
Thanks,

Hi sharat,
here is some information about wheather. I just arrived from Lapland and the wheather was quite changeable, in a while raining slightly and after few hours full sunshine. Got brown after six days wander at Saariselka. Last summer was quite rainy. Take windproof coat and a pullover as extra clothes (quess this outfit will be your assurance to get sunny wheather...)
and more official information bu statistic...;

In celcius, the temperatures daytime can vary between 10 C and 25 C. If it´s very nice, it can be around 22 C in Helsinki, but daytime in Lapland can be most likely around 16 C. Night time it can be very cool, down until 5 C in Lapland. But need to worry, the buildings are built very warm so that you don´t have to be cold inside.
In downtown Helsinki it can be very windy because the sea is so close. So even if it´s warmer, it never will become hot.
A warm jacket could be practical in case of cool weather, and long trousers, long-sleeved shirts etc. But also summer clothes could be packed in case of a warmer weather, like shorts, and T-shirts. The Finnish summer weather is changing so much, so right now it´s pretty hard to say what it´s going to be like in a few weeks. Right now in the central part of Finland it´s 16-20 C daytime, and that could be the good average. So enough warm clothes should be packed, but also some clothes for a warmer weather, because the weather conditions here are like this.
Have a wonderful stay in Finland!
