September or December - which is the best time to visit??

I have the opportunity to combine a business trip to Helsinki with a few days of sightseeing and have the option of going either at the end of September or mid-December. In terms of climate, things to do, etc., can people suggest whether one might be a better option than the other or would it be just as great in September and December?!

Absolutely September, we still have summerish weather now, later in September weather will turn colder, but it%26#39;s still much better than December.

Days are very short in December and weather can be miserable, cold and rainy. Most likely we will gert %26quot;permanenet%26quot; snow only in January.
