cruise port in Helsinki

We will be joining Princess cruise in June and will

stop at Helsinki for 1 day (10am-6pm).

I was told that the cruise port is LHC west harbor.

Does anyone know that whether it is close to

town? Is there any public transportation to

get to the major attractions or downtown

from the cruise dock. And what do you suggest

for that short period of time?

How do I get to Suomenlinna Sea Fortress? and the

Russian church and/or rock church?

Any information is appreciated.

JJust to answer your question about the SS Fortess, just go the Market Square - all tours operate from here to the island. Plenty of different tours available. From the Market Square its a easy walk to the Russian Church. There is an information centre just opposite the Market Square where you can pick up a map. Most attractions in Helsinki can be reached by foot.

Out of curiosity, was the LHC West Harbor the correct cruise port for Helsinki? I%26#39;m stoping there at the end of this month on the same cruise.

Emerald Princess docs at Länsisatama, but on Hernesaari quay, not on the same side as Tallink ships, local bus no 16 goes from Hernesaari to city centre.
