You%26#39;re certainly in with a chance IF the sky is clear and IF the solar weather plays ball. No one can tell you for sure (although postings like these usually attract a lot of %26quot;I saw it in February so you will too%26quot; replies).

Unfortunately sunspot activity has been at a record low for some time now, which reduces the frequency and level of displays, but you will certainly be in one of the best places for the aurora at the best time.

Good luck!

There is a chance, if the skies are clear, and you are lucky enough.

You can find more information by searching %26quot;aurora%26quot; or %26quot;northern lights%26quot; in Finland forums. This topic has been discussed a lot.

as long as there%26#39;s a chance I%26#39;m happy

One thing that%26#39;ll be useful is to google for the phase of the moon during your visit: full moon bad, new moon good for aurora viewing.

Full moon is not a bad moment to see aurora! Nights are lighter (if clear sky) and the whole light is different. Makes it even more magigal and I have taken some of my best pictures during full moon northern lights. Forecast for next 24 and 48 h can be found for example http://www.spaceweather.com . also many resort provide forecast for both weather and northern light at receptions.

Depends. Any other light source is a nuisance as the aurora is very faint, but a very strong display will get through. I%26#39;m afraid we can%26#39;t expect a lot of those, the solar weather being what it is this season.

Hi ,we saw them last feb half term twice, only had one clear night and saw a weak show look out for green clouds! if the rest of sky is completely clear, the cloud changed shape into an arc and spread and dissapeared after an hour into thin air! the next time it was foggy but could see colours through it at times . basically if you have a clear night keep looking up! Good luck and have a great holiday.
