Hi
I%26#39;m visiting Helsinki and Tallinn in October (less than four weeks now!).
I%26#39;ve booked the flights and hotels but I%26#39;m not sure if I need to book the ferry in advance or if it%26#39;s ok to just turn up as a foot passenger?
Any advice appreciated!

No need to book in advance tickets are well available. Maybe in order to avoid queues you could get the tickets e.g. previous day.

Thanks for your help, Tampereman. Really looking forward to visiting Helsinki!

If you%26#39;re taking Linda Line (the fastest), it%26#39;s a good idea not to book in advance. Their smaller craft are the first to be cancelled in rough weather. Just check the weather forecast the day before and plan accordingly. There is never a problem getting a place in October.

Thanks for the info, John.

Hi
Just to follow up, we bought our return tickets from the Tallink Office first thing in the morning, then managed to pack in a few shopping hours until the crossing! Absolutely no problems with the tickets or the crossings.
