directions from central staition

Hi all

We are staying at the sokos presidentti at the weekend and are going to get the finnair city bus from the airport.Can anyone give us some directions from the central staition please.It says on google maps it takes six minuets to walk.

Six minutes is about right. You have to cross Mannerheimintie, a busy road.

Since you%26#39;ve already found it on Google maps, I wonder why you need directions. Still, let%26#39;s start with a nice clear landmark: opposite the railway station is the Sokos department,which you go past (keeping it on your left) with the main post office on your right and you will very quickly be on the busy street Mannerheimintie, which you cross. Go right a bit to Arkadiankatu, which leads you to Etelainen Rautatiekatu, which is where you want to be.

Sorry, important word missing: Sokos department STORE. This you cannot miss.

Just go downhill (heading to center) Arkadiankatu and you%26#39;ll get to Sokos and the busstop is opposite of that on the other side of the crossing.

You%26#39;re welcome. Since you have a wonky sense of direction, I%26#39;d better point out that MEKANS is leading you in the wrong direction, i.e., from the hotel instead of to it.
