We are considering going skiing over Christmas. We have seen a number of skiing resorts advertised in travel brochures but have not yet made a decision on which one we are likely to pick.
What will the snow be like at this time of year, is it more sensible to choose Finland, Norway etc over France, Austria etc this early in the season?
Will we require special clothing over and above normal ski wear due to the tempreatures?

Top tip - if poss choose a glacier resort so there will always be snow. We went to Kaprun last year to Hotel Toni (2nd time) - if you can bear the suspense, book last minute through Crystal who are great. Its a lovely hotel with pool and sauna facilities and fantastic buffet breks and dinners. The free ski bus goes from bus stop about 20metres from hotel and there is plenty of skiing. Only downside is that Kaprun is v quiet and C%26#39;mas virtually passed us by (C%26#39;mas Eve the bigger occasion)- no seasonal activities in the village apart from sleigh rides. You could get bus to Zell am See for more. If you want more info I%26#39;m more than happy to discuss.
