Bus to Tampere

Is there a bus from the airport into Tampere ?

How frequent ?

Where do I catch it ?

Cost ?

I am staying at the Scandic Tampere City - which stop do I get off ?

Oh and I assumed you want it from Helsinki airport as you were asking about it in another thread. Or did you want Tampere airport?

If you are coming by a Ryanair flight, there will be a bus from the airport (Terminal 2) to the Railway Station. Scandic Tampere City is across the street from the Railway Station.

Local bus 61 ( www.paunu.fi/pdf/Airport%20Talvi_08-09.pdf ) connects the terminal 1 to downtown Tampere. In this case you should get off at Hatanpään valtatie (marked on the map of the bus schedule).

ryanair dont run busses to tampere anymore, get bus no 61, every 45 mins outside terminal, stay on bus until you get to main street,there is a bus parade area you cant miss it![ about 30 mins ride price 5 euro approx] get off, walk twords train station, about 700 meters, turn right at crossroads[ train station will be on front of you] hotel 50 meters on right.great location, drink on north side of river is half price, all the students drink there.[ that main street is divided in two by a river, north and south, hotel and train station on south side] hope i made sense, good luck.

Ryanair has never been the operator for the buses, they are operated by the Tokeen Liikenne Bus Company on behalf of the Finavia subsidiary Airpro.

The bus scheduled to meet Ryanair flights into and out off Tampere airport is indeed still running. I got it last Wednesday morning to the airport.

Cost is 6 euro one way. Tickets are available from the info desk at the airport. Return journey from Tampere is paid on arrival at the airport.

The Scandic is right across the street from bus the drop off/pick up point at the train station.
