Best place to see the Northern Lights...

Hi,

Just wanting an opinion. I only have time and funds to get to one place in the next 12 months. So which would be the best place to go to, to see the Northern Lights? Norway (Tromso) or Iceland?

I realise that its a natural phenomenon and there are no guarantees but I was thinking of going in Feb to maximise the night time hours.

Any opinions are good and would love to get some feedback.

If you have ideas of specific tours and approx costs, that would be awesome too!

Thanks so much!

Hmm, you%26#39;ve posted this on Finland forums. However, I%26#39;d say Tromso would be the prime location for northern lights.

Tromso, but Longyearbyen on Svalbard is ever better. It%26#39;s about 2,5 hours flight from Tromso.

Oh yeah... sorry. I do know that Tromso is in Norway... Must have been a misclick on my part.

Thanks though.
