my husband and i are going to be arriving in rovaniemi at the begining of december for 5 nights.firstly we would like recommendations about the most comfortable hotel to stay in and we also are looking for a tour company who will arrange all our activities every day[personalised itinerary]

For whales you must go to entirely different country than Finland. There are no whales in our waters.

If you are not counting pennies, I would recommend choosing a Deluxe room in Clarion:

I have spent one night in one of those, and it was exactly as in the picure. The great thing about this room type is that it has its own sauna! Note however, that they aren%26#39;t necessarily available through online booking systems, but you have to reserve them by phone/email. They explained this was because there are so few of them. Same probably applies for the suites (they are naturally pricier, but if you wish to splurge...)

Clarion also has excellent location, bang in the centre, easy walking distance to shopping, restaurants, bars, the river and tour companies.
