Hi All!
Just browsing, and I came across %26#39;Activities Abroad%26#39; - they seem to offer a really nice package for family holidays in Lapland - in particular the %26#39;Salla Family Winter Activity Holiday%26#39;, albeit at a price. Has anyone used this company? Anyone know if they ever advertise any offers?
Thanks a lot! :o)

Haven%26#39;t travelled with them...I have just looked at their web site- its one of the best holiday booking sites I%26#39;ve seen.

Hi there!
Thats exactly what I thought - especially as you can mix and match your holiday (lots of choice). Definitely one to bare in mind! :o)

Hi
I took the kids to Luosto in February with Activities Abroad. It does look a bit pricey but when you see the prices of the activities in the resort you%26#39;ll think you%26#39;ve got a bargain. Anyway, they were about £200 cheaper than another company I got a quote from who were offering a similar trip but with a few bits less. Get the half board deal and your in business.
The other thing I liked about them was that when I first rang them , the guy I spoke to knew the holidays inside out, he%26#39;d been there about four times he told me. Being a slightly nervous traveller I had billions of questions and he knew the answers to them all and I realsied when I got to Luosto that he was spot on.
Very good company and I can;t recommend them enlough.
Hope that helps.
Husky Chris

Thanks so much for responding!!!!! I thought the company looked pretty great actually (the flexibility stands out) and its great to have this confirmed first hand. Could you confirm.......did you have more of a %26#39;winter activity%26#39; break or did you take on any Santa related activities?
My children are 6 and 3 (almost 4) - and I noticed some of the activities are age 5+ so I presume this may be a question for the very helpful person you talked to on the phone!
One more thing.....when did you go to the resort?...and although you were half board......did you stay in the hotel or a log cabin (we would prefer cabin accommodation).
Thanks very much for your help! :o)

Hi again.
Happy to be of service.
We went in February and were pretty active because our kids are a bit older and we wanted to avoid the Santa thing. We stayed at the Tunturi Hotel in Luosto in one of the large suites - it was great with two bedrooms, ideal when you%26#39;ve got kids, a large lounge area, a kitchen and even our own sauna!
I%26#39;ve looked at the company again and they don;t seem to go in for the Santa trips much although they do seem pretty pleased with themselves about one in Norway called Santa at Savalen.
Perhaps that might be more suitable. Or give them a call, as I said they seem to know their stuff.
Good luck.
Chrissie

huskychristie - could you write a review on your trip as a lot of people do look at the review pages - shame you didn%26#39;t come here sooner to give advice about this company as it may have helped a lot of people who wanted advice about santa/lapland trips last year, please stick about as they will all start coming back around october time

Hi
I am too interested in hearing more about anyone who been with Activities Abroad. I have been thinking of taking one of their winter tours to lapland for me and my partner this December.
HuskieChristie, Can you post a link to the review you said you written. I cannot find it.
Many thanks
Elly
