getting from Helsinki to Kiikala by public transport

Hi- we need to trvael from helsinki to Kiikala on 2 September 2009. I have written twice to the information centre at the bus station but received no reply. Can anyone help? We are wanting to leave Helsinki as early as possible on the Wednesday morning. Oh yeah, we need to return to the airport for an evening flight on the Friday, so buses back again- do we need to go into the central city and then to the airport? Kiitos!

There is a bus connection between Salo and Kiikala: www.vainionliikenne.fi/at09-2/at-55.htm .

The reason for not finding connections seems to be that Matkahuolto website (http://www.matkahuolto.fi/ ) has currently timetables only until the end of August and http://www.journey.fi/ usually has detailed connections only up to one month ahead.

You can either take a bus from Helsinki Bus Station (Kamppi) at 05:00 a.m. thus arriving in Salo at 06:35 and continue from there with the bus leaving at 07:15 getting you to Kiikala at 08:00.

Another option is to take train IC121 from Helsinki Central Railway Station at 05:46, arriving in Salo at 07:10. The distance between the Salo Railway Station and Salo Bus Station is about 500 m so the connection might be a bit too tight (only 5 min time to get to the bus). On Friday there are connections from Kiikala to Salo e.g. at 12:15 (Salo 12:55) and 15:05 (Salo 15:50). There are bus connections from Salo %26quot;directly%26quot; to Helsinki-Vantaa Airport (meaning that they usually have an immediate change of vehicle in the Ikea junction in Espoo where the bus going to the airport is waiting for the bus arriving from Turku).
