From Edinburgh to Faroe Islands

Hi,

Are there any flights or ferrry from Edinburgh or Glasgow to Faroe Islands?

Also, how many days does a person need to have an idea of the country. How is the public transport system - do most sites reachable by public transport.

I think the only UK flights are from London, otherwise via Denmark or Norway. See the Atlantic Airways website.

No ferry from UK, only from Denmark. See Smyril website.

Seven days gives a good chance to see Faroe, four would give a taste. Public transport is quite good between the few main settlements, but a car is much better for getting to the quieter spots.
