Am arriving via cruise ship at Hernesaari. Planning on walking to nearest bus stop %26amp; taking bus 14B to Temppeliaukio (buy all day tourist ticket pass from driver? Driver Take Credit Card? Any ATM%26#39;s nearby?) After Temppeliaukio walk to Tram 3T ride downtown. If time allows will take ferry to Suomenlinna. Back to Downtown, take Bus 16 back to cruise ship dock.

Tourist tickets are not available from bus drivers and buses don%26#39;t take credit cards. Try a K-kiosk (these are everywhere and there%26#39;s probably one in the terminal) for the tourist ticket - kiosks do take credit cards. Otherwise use an ATM in the terminal.

No buses or trams go all the way to Temppeliaukio so some (uphill) walking will be required.

You should have plenty of time for this itinerary unless your cruise stopover is unusually short.

What do these K-kiosk%26#39;s look like %26amp; are english instructions available in using them? Will I be selecting a %26quot;tourist Ticket%26quot; or does it go by some other name. Does the tourist ticket get issued with a date stamp or do I have to stamp it somewhere prior to boarding my first trip. I assume it%26#39;s good all day for trams %26amp; busses - what about ferries?

Correction - tourist tickets (for one day only) ARE available from the bus driver. To quote the city transport office:

%26quot;Enjoy unlimited travel in Helsinki on local buses, trams, the metro, local trains and the ferry to Suomenlinna with the HKL Tourist Ticket. You can buy your HKL Tourist Ticket from HKL service point at Central Railway Station (M) or Itäkeskus (M), Helsinki City Tourist %26amp; Convention Bureau (Pohjoisesplanadi 19), Stockmann downtown department store or at R-kiosks located in the city centre. HKL Tourist Tickets are also available in ticket machines, and bus and tram drivers sell 1 day tickets.%26quot;

So just say %26#39;tourist ticket%26#39; and hand the driver the money (€6.80 for an adult) and you%26#39;re away.
