Hi,
Am about to book in a cabin at the above hotel over New Year with my friend and her daughter, but can%26#39;t find any mention of it on Trip Advisor, does anyone know anything about it and how far is it from the village. Thanks!

I have just looked at them, never heard of them before - just check where they are as yllas is a very spread out place and you may find they are far away from anything like the supermarket
how are you booking this and have you got a good deal?

We have just found them over the net, through the the Finland Tourist Board type web site. Their web is www.seitahotelli.fi it seems a good deal - I think, cabin withb sauna, for 3 nights over new year - in the hotel grounds - half board, with a special new years eve dinner with champagne, an indoor swimming pool and what seems like the good bit an outdoors hot tub! for about £750 - £250 each, thought this a good price as know it%26#39;s expensive in Finland from last time went about 10 years ago.
The trip has been made more complicated as my friends daughter wants to visit the Moomin Museum in Tampere, so we%26#39;ve booked seperate flights to Tampere and are going to get the overnight sleeper train up -quite an adventure!
Suppose it doesn%26#39;t matter if the village is further away, but would just have liked some mention of it on trip advisor as it%26#39;s always the first place of advice I look at!
Thanks for your reply!

that sounds like a real adventure, you will love yllas
are you flying with ryanair? if so and you are getting the sleeper train then just make sure you have enough time to get from the airport to the station as last time I looked into this option the connection was tight
have you thought about the sampo icebreaker too, not sure if it%26#39;s enroute but it would be great if you could do it for new year

Hi
We stayed in one of their cabins last October, before buying our own cabin!. If you know Akaslompolo or can google a map the Seita is near the Yllas Humina hotel, on the opposite side of road. From the supermarket, farther round the end of the lake past the campsite %26amp; school, not far from the road that leads to the Animal Park.
The cabins were scattered about the grounds. There is a central building with reception, might be a restaurant (i%26#39;m not sure) and they have a pool I think.
The cabin we stayed in was very cosy with an open plan living room /kitchenette, with bed areas curtained off from the main room. Had separate sauna, toilet, shower area %26amp; plenty of coat hanging/boot/gear storage in entrance hall.
Not sure if all the cabins are the same though.
Hope that helps
